Western NY Nocturnal Bird Migration Study

Spring 2026 Student Art Awards

Old Bird Inc. is hosting an awards program for student art (paintings, drawings) related to its nocturnal bird migration study. This art opportunity is open to students associated with art classes at schools participating in the bird migration study.*

Awards are granted to school art programs for the gallery of student artwork they submit. Each school selects the student artwork to represent their entry. A school's body of artwork will be ranked by level of student engagement and creativity on the topic specified in the student art guidelines. In addition, five high school and five middle school students whose art stands out among all the entries will be awarded individually, with high school and middle school artworks judged & awarded separately. All students entering art in the competition have the option to have a trading card made from their artwork -- participating students will receive a trading card pack of their artwork along with one or more packs of assorted artwork entries from other students. Deadline for submitting art entries is Friday May 1, 2026. Winners will be announced ~May 15, 2026.
