This is a text alert system for when megaflights of small songbirds (primarily warblers & sparrows) have been detected in nocturnal migration at coastal stations along the south shore of Lake Ontario. Members receive a text when flight call rates reach more than 100 calls per hour at more than one of the 2026 transect's coastal monitoring station. The magnitude of the flight is indicated by the following codes:

Z1 - 100 calls/hr

Z2 - 200 calls/hr

Z3 - 300 calls/hr

Z4 - 400 calls/hr

  Z5 - 500+ calls/hr
