Weekly Upland Sandpiper night flight call (nfc) activity detected from all five stations in the WNY acoustic monitoring transect (Kendall replaced Station 5 in 2026). UPSA calls were automatically detected by Nighthawk 0.3.1 software operating from half-an-hour after sunset to 60 minutes before sunrise (30 minutes before sunrise in 2026). W. Evans confirmed identity of the automatic detections and removed non-UPSA calls. UPSA nfc activity is the sum of all incidences of a correctly ID'd UPSA call that occurred at least two minutes from another UPSA call. Data in this graph is updated weekly through the end of Summer 2025.
